Learn Basic Flat-Water Paddle Board (SUP) Skillspaddleboardclass

Skills taught include:

  • Doffing and Donning the Life Jacket
  • Launching (from dock / shore)
  • Forward Paddling
  • Stopping
  • Reverse Paddling
  • Capsize w/ Recovery of Board & Paddle in water to deep to stand
  • Use of Paddle Board as a Floatation Device
  • Re-boarding in water to deep to stand
  • Avoidance Maneuvers
  • Anchoring (optional)
  • Exiting (to dock / shore)

Equipment provided for the course includes:

  • Paddleboard
  • Paddle
  • Life Jacket
  • Safety Whistle
  • Leash (upon request)

The course fee is $45.00 per person with a minimum of two people. private lessons are available for one person for $80.00. Advanced Reservations Required.

*This is an introduction to Stand-Up Paddle Boarding for those interested in spending time in the areas many flat water creeks, rivers,  bays, lakes and ponds. This is not an open ocean or whitewater / swift-water course.
